Current Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering will continue to look a little different in 2021 as we put the health and safety of our community first, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t fantastic ways for you to get involved and make a lasting difference in the lives of Ottawa children!
We’re looking for front-line Team Members to join us this year in delivering the CityKidz experience to our kids’ homes. This means bringing snacks, meals, and special treats to hopeful children, connecting with and inspiring kids in our communities, and being a present and positive role model, cheerleader, and advocate for all CityKidz children.
We is always in need of dedicated administrative volunteers who are detail-oriented and love to organize. With a variety of roles based on the skills and comfort level each volunteer has, we are committed to finding a place for our administrative volunteers to flourish.
Love to fundraise, run events or promote? Consider putting your talents to work helping us plan and run events to raise awareness of and financial support for our work.
Our Saturday programs are a whirlwind of excited kids singing, dancing, eating and celebrating together in our Playhouse theatre. We need volunteers to support our Saturday programs by helping us keep our kids safe and engaged throughout the day.
Frequently Asked Questions
In order to become a CityKidz volunteer, you must be 16 years of age or older, in agreement with our mission, vision and values, and complete the CityKidz volunteer intake process. Each volunteer role is unique and the specific requirements may vary depending on the position.
We ask volunteers to commit to a full season so that relationships and trust can be built with the kids! If you are 16 years of age or older, and able to commit to a full season, we would be happy to help facilitate your requirement for graduation.
Yes! If you would like to come as a guest for a Saturday, we would be happy to pair you with a current volunteer so you can see firsthand what we are all about. We hope you will love it so much, you’ll be signing up for orientation!
